Blast Off! with Our Winter Learning Challenge for Kids

Read, Discover and Create over winter vacation as you explore stars, planets and more with our Winter Learning Challenge!

Kids through age 13 are invited to participate in the Winter Learning Challenge between December 15, 2014 and January 5, 2015.

To complete the challenge:

  • READ (book, magazine or website) for 20 minutes a day for five days over winter break
  • DISCOVER new information about space by doing one activity
  • CREATE one story, piece of art or design challenge inspired by space

Keep track of your progress in the Winter Learning Challenge Log. Return your completed log to any CPL location by January 12, 2015 to receive a free book.

During our challenge, we also invite families to visit a hands-on exhibit at the Harold Washington Library Center. Stop by for some interactive learning!
