Join us for our Classic Book Club which will be discussing William Faulkner's Intruder in the Dust. Set in 1930s Mississippi, the novel explores a coming of age of Chick Mallison who becomes indebted to Lucas Beauchamp for saving his life and then later tries to help clear Lucas of a murder charge. Described as a 'novel of conscience', it explores issues of personal dignity and the responsibility of the South to solve the racial problems it has created and inherited.
