History
- Richard J. Daley Branch was dedicated February 1, 1989.
- The branch is named for Mayor Richard J. Daley (1902-1976) , who was a lifelong resident of the Bridgeport community.
- Daley served six terms as mayor, from April 20, 1955 until he died in office on December 20, 1976.
