Jones was, for 52 years, the founder, writer and producer of the acclaimed Chicago Passion Play. First presented in 1926 in a storefront church, the Passion Play later moved to St. John-Baptist Church. Jones was also a gospel pianist and director of a choir sponsored by the National Baptist Convention. Her papers include clippings, programs, serials and memorabilia. [Finding aid]
