The Captain Louis D. Walz Papers feature over a hundred letters from Lake View High School graduates discussing their military experiences during World War II. Captain Walz was the band director at Lake View High School from 1928 to 1961. He served as a cornet player in an Army band during World War I. In addition to the letters, there are also photos of Captain Walz and his work with the Lake View High School band.
