When I was 5, I totally wanted to marry Han Solo. I mean, I understood that he was a fictional character (sort of), but I really hoped he'd escape from the carbonite in Jabba's palace so we could proceed with our wedding plans.
And now the scruffy looking nerf herder takes top billing in Solo: A Star Wars Story this month. If you want to read more about Han, here are some Star Wars comics featuring the Millenium Falcon's owner.
Start with Star Wars: Han Solo. In this action-packed graphic novel, Han enters a starship race called the Dragon Void to uncover a traitor to the Rebellion. But his desire to win the competition may interfere with his ability to complete his mission.
Next, pick up Star Wars: Shattered Empire, which takes place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. This story introduces a husband and wife who work closely with Han at the Battle of Endor to destroy the second Death Star. Their son, Poe Decameron, inherits his mama's ace piloting skills.
And if you enjoyed Star Wars: The Force Awakens, don't miss this graphic novel adaptation of the movie. Doesn't it give you the warm fuzzies to see grownup Han taking Rey under his wing and reuniting with Leia? Despite his tragic end, Han will live on in my heart forever.
But I'm sure if I told Han, "I love you," he'd simply respond, "I know."
