Doctor Who is one of the most popular science fiction TV shows ever created, and there are also hundreds of books available featuring the Doctor. New Doctor Who adventures are published every year. We’ve been adding these new titles to our collection and there are two in particular that I would recommend that fans check out.
Current Doctor Who
These novels are all brand-new stories featuring the Eleventh Doctor (as currently played by Matt Smith on the TV show). I’ve been an obsessed fan of Doctor Who for years, so I especially appreciated these two novels. They feature the Daleks and the Cybermen, two of the Doctor’s greatest enemies.
The Dalek Generation is available in multiple formats.
Plague of the Cybermen is available in other formats.
Please note that you don’t need to be an expert on the show or its characters to enjoy these books. Basically, you just need to know that:
- The main character looks human but is really an alien simply called “the Doctor.”
- He has a ship called the TARDIS that can take him anywhere in time and space.
- The TARDIS looks like a blue telephone booth and is bigger on the inside.
- The Doctor finds trouble everywhere he visits…and he visits lots of places.
Next time I'll look at new Doctor Who novels featuring the previous Doctors.
