If you are a fan of supernatural romances, you know that love triangles between vampires, werewolves and other supernatural beings existed long before Twilight. My favorite supernatural love triangle, or possibly a pentagon, began in 2001 when Dead Until Dark was released and we are introduced to Sookie Stackhouse and a world in which vampires have "come out of the coffin."
Sookie, a human telepath, falls into this world full of suspense, action, humor and of course romance. I could not get enough! Thankfully the Sookie Stackhouse series continued for 13 years and only ended in 2013 with the final book, Dead Ever After.
I was super exited in 2008 when HBO premiered the novels as a new series under the name True Blood. Although the TV series took the storyline on a slightly different path than the books, the show is still a must watch for any fan of the series.
After seven seasons, the final season will premiere on June 22nd when we will have to say goodbye to Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam and all the other True Blood characters. I’ve been Team Eric since the books, and will be extra sad to say goodbye to the Viking.
