I'm a big believer that spring break should mean taking an actual break. Take some time to read magazine, watch television, and enjoy comics. And the best part is, you can do all that without ever leaving your house (even if your parents changed the Netflix password). Check out these instant digital downloads available to you with a library card.
Teen Vogue is just one of many magazines you can access through Zinio. You'll need to set up an account on Zinio with your CPL library card number, but once that is done you can join the revolution with the smart and savvy young people in this informative and entertaining magazine.
If you're into comics, you can check out Archie or tons of other titles through Hoopla and read them immediately while you lounge on the couch. Same deal as Zinio, you'll need to create an account, and then you can enjoy someone else's drama for a change as Archie and his friends have crazy adventures in Riverdale.
Also on Hoopla are tons of tv shows, including Sanctuary - a show about a mysterious scientist and her daughter who study and capture strange creatures they call "abnormals." A mix of sci-fi and revisionist history, this is my favorite-little-show-that-could.
