Ahoy, mateys! Talk Like a Pirate Day is here. What better way to brush up on your pirate-speak than to watch some pirates in action?
Younger children will enjoy an introduction to Peter Pan and his pirate nemesis, Captain Hook. The war between the Lost Boys and the pirates of Neverland is swashbuckling and suspenseful. Watching Captain Hook tremble when he meets up with the crocodile who ate his hand is comical and satisfying. Revisiting this classic will help viewers jump into its many wonderful spinoffs.
The Pirate Fairy gives fans of Peter Pan's magical sidekick, Tinker Bell, a look into the lives of Neverland's fairies. One curious pixie dust-keeper experiments with the essential blue pixie dust and joins forces with the pirates of Skull Rock. Tinker Bell and her friends must work together in order to bring the blue pixie dust—and the lost fairy—home to Pixie Hollow.
When Peter Pan grows up, he becomes a high-powered corporate lawyer who doesn't have time for his own kids. That is, until Captain Hook kidnaps them to lure Peter back to Neverland. Hook is an entertaining live-action movie in which Peter Pan must regain his youthful spirit in time to save his kids from the pirates' clutches.
The Pirates! follows the claymation Pirate Captain and his motley crew as they try—once again—to win the title of Pirate of the Year. Mix in a pirate-hating Queen Victoria, a young Charles Darwin and a scientific competition featuring Pirate Captain's "big-boned parrot," and you've got a recipe for adventure, betrayal and the real meaning of treasure.
For older kids, The Goonies is a must-watch classic. A group of down-on-their-luck friends tries to find a long-lost pirate treasure in order to save their homes. Unfortunately, a family of bank robbers who have recently broken out of jail is also hunting for the treasure. Can they survive and save their homes? Arrrrrr... you'll have to watch for yourself, landlubber!
