The library has lots of different sections, with books for everyone! Even the youngest kids can enjoy books. Using books with babies and toddlers is a great way to foster a love of books and reading from the earliest age.
Board books are formatted for the grasp of babies and young toddlers. Their sturdy, cardboard pages and small size make them easier for babies to handle and tough to rip. Bright colors and interactive features, like flaps to play peek-a-boo, help babies explore books with all of their senses--just the way they are learning to experience the world.
Even though babies try and eat books at this age, reading together is valuable bonding time as your child learns to associate books and reading with safety and comfort. Look for books that you'll enjoy reading together and help your child explore their world.
