10th Annual Teen Winter Challenge Results

For our 10th Annual Teen Winter Challenge 220 Chicago high school students submitted their portfolios, making this year's competition, yet again, our largest to date! These submissions were reviewed by our juror panel including library staff and a professional guest judge to select this year's prize winners.

Of the 220 submissions, 25 winners were selected to receive monetary prizes and will have one of their works featured in the wall-mounted exhibition at Harold Washington Library Center near YOUmedia. This exhibit will be unveiled at the May gala and will remain up until the end of next year's competition. These prize winners and additional finalists will also be featured in our print catalog.  Stay tuned for a digital version of our catalog that highlights work from all the submissions!

Chicago Public Library is proud to support these students in their artistic pursuits. We would like to congratulate all of the applicants on their hard work and thank them for their generosity in choosing to share their art with the library. We encourage each student to continue developing their craft and hope that they bring their creativity with them in all their future endeavors.

Chicago Public Library would like to extend a special thanks to library staff and all the Chicago high school teachers and arts organizations for their continuous work with Chicago youth.
