Harold Washington Library Center and West Chicago Avenue Branch host fascinating and unique exhibits to celebrate African American History Month in February.
Harold Washington Library Center hosts five exhibits:
- Chasing Light: Photographs by Amanda Lucidon, February 1 to March 3, in the 3rd floor exhibit case
- The Fellowship of Reverend Clay Evans, through March 5, in the Special Collections Exhibit Hall on the 9th floor
- The Path of Memory: Mixed Media Works by Monica J. Brown, February 2 to March 31, in the Popular Library exhibit cases and Congress Corridor east display window on the ground floor
- Patrick Thompson: The Color of Jazz, February 1 to February 28, in the 3rd floor exhibit hall gallery
- Terri Mae Owens: Been Yah Gullah Dolls & Sweetgrass Baskets, February 2 to March 31, in the 8th floor exhibit cases
West Chicago Avenue Branch hosts:
- Vintage Black American Cookie Jar Display by Rosie Dawson, January 15 to March 1
