All Power to the People, an exhibit celebrating the legacy of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party, is on display at the Mabel Manning Branch from August 1 to October 31.
The exhibit features highlights from an exhibit displayed at Carter G. Woodson Regional Library in 2019. On display are reproductions of flyers, photographs and memorabilia documenting party history and powerful community organizing efforts such as the survival programs that provided assistance to many Chicagoans.
The exhibit is on loan from the Vivian G. Harsh Research Collection of Afro-American History and Literature.
