The American Red Cross Restoring Family Links program helps to locate and restore communication between families separated internationally by conflict, disaster or other humanitarian emergencies, and they do this by working within the global Red Cross network.
In Chicago, the Red Cross has Restoring Family Links caseworkers available to help families to reconnect when traditional methods of finding one another are not available.
