Roden Branch hosts a Hispanic Heritage Month art exhibit featuring the work of local artist Alexandra Y. Lopez.
Lopez’s exhibit Hand Landscapes will be on display from September 15 through October 15.
Artist Statement
Selected from the Hand Landscapes series, these pieces seek to expand on the definition of landscape. By camouflaging scanned images of my own hands with the materials I most often utilize, which include watercolor, ink, acrylic and gel media on the paper surface, I explore my attraction to landscape as well as question my own presence in the ecosystem.
