Artist Statement
A whirlwind in the distance at first, with an approach that awed him! He sees the chariot of God coming in storms, fire and tornadoes, with the sky fragmented as cut stones. Over each wheel of the chariot is a being, an angel that has four wings and four faces: Man, Bull, Lion and Eagle.
... there is a great fire, or energy; this fire vibrates with multicolored light within the chariot and the Cherubim angels. Each angel is positioned above a wheel that is a wheel that is two wheels at once, one intersecting the other. And there are eyes everywhere, on the wheels and on the Cherubim.
I thought of God and science, of the theory of relativity, quantum mechanics, string theory and so forth. For if we experience in four dimensions, we can only experience God in a limited way. If God exists with our 21st century knowledge, then he exists in dimensions that we cannot experience with our senses alone. We may only be able to see his presence in a fragmented way.
