Richard M. Daley-W Humboldt Branch hosts a Hispanic Heritage Month art exhibit featuring the work of local artist Migdalia Quintana.
Paintings from Quintana's exhibit Rhema will be on display from September 15 through October 15.
Artist Statement
Migdalia Quintana is a Puerto Rican artist and writer who lives in Oak Park. The artist is a resilient woman. Her artwork is framed in figurative art to reflect her dreams, passions and life experience—not as a way to describe pain but seeking to exploit from the colors her ability to convey peace, intrigue and emotion. Her paintings are usually exhibited along with her writings. The artist's message is: exalt the mind of the spectator and raise his/her gaze to a dimension in which the worldly becomes secondary and the invisible becomes true, abiding and desired.
Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibits
More than 20 local artists are exhibiting at CPL during Hispanic Heritage Month.
