Rogers Park Branch hosts an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month art exhibit during May 2018 featuring artist Samantha Gee.
Samantha Gee is a Chicago-based artist who works both small-scale as a portrait artist and large-scale as a scenic designer. In her work she explores identity, space, material and color. Samantha enjoys how stories can be found in paintings, on the stage and in the pages of a book. She is currently earning her bachelor's degree in fine arts with a minor in theater production at North Park University. Recent scenic work includes Thin Ice Ensemble Theater's production of Much Ado About Nothing. She was also featured in North Park University's spring scholarship exhibition.
