McKinley Park Branch hosts an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month art exhibit through the month of May, featuring artist Virginia Lai.
Virginia Lai's work is steeped in the ancient traditions of Chinese painting and calligraphy. A frequent presenter at Chicago Public Library programs, Lai has shared her knowledge of classical Chinese arts for years with library patrons. Her programs on writing basic Chinese characters have fascinated and delighted children and adults alike, and this year her original artwork will be on display to once again draw viewers into worlds of grace and refinement.
