Blackstone Branch hosts an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month art exhibit through the month of May featuring artist Xing Yi Tan.
Xing Yi Tan explores life around us through painting with oil and acrylics in a traditional style. The process includes researching information such as historical background and the lives of people and how they are related. Xing focuses on the usages of colors in paintings and believes that different color value can show character. The purpose of the work is to express the artist’s experience and share an understanding of a different life and perspective.
