Harold Washington Library Center hosts an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month art exhibit featuring the work of artists and brothers Wesley and Brad Sun.
Graphic novels from the Sun Bros collection will be on display from May 1 through July 1 on the 3rd floor of the Harold Washington Library Center.
Wesley and Brad Sun grew up in Orlando, Florida, reading comics and playing Sega Genesis. Wesley went on to become a hospital chaplain and now teaches at the University of Chicago Brad studied art and worked as a gallery preparator before joining his brother to create Sun Bros Studios. The Sun Bros Studios released Chinatown (2012) and Apocalypse Man (2013) after a tremendously successful Kickstarter campaign. The brothers now speak at comic conventions, bookstores and universities throughout the Midwest on crowdfunding and self-publishing comics.
