Austin Branch hosted a teen zine workshop with Leslie Perrine Monday, December 1. Leslie showed examples of her zines and then the students got to work creating original, handmade mini-books. They made collages with animal pictures and wrote stories including "Dog Town with Monkey" and "Bad Monster in my Hometown."
Our zine evening turned out to be a family event as teens participated with younger siblings. As we were wrapping up the workshop, everyone asked Leslie if she was going to be in the library the next day! Austin Branch welcomes Leslie anytime she wants to return.
