If you could invent your own type of transportation, what would it look like and where would you take it? We want to know! Here are some ways you can tell us:
- * Read about planes, trains, cars and boats. We have some great books to get your started on our Explore on the Go! booklist for 6- to 8-year-olds and booklist for 9- to 13-year-olds. Make a list of your favorite facts, then write the story behind your new mode of transportation or where you'd go.
- * Discover more transportation by visiting the Museum of Science and Industry. What are some of the benefits and drawbacks of different types of transportation? Which parts would you use in a new invention?
- * Create a story or comic about a totally new kind of transportation. Can it travel to different places and different times too? Draw a picture showing how people will get around in the future.
Complete the form below by Monday, August 1. This contest is open to school-age learners ages 5-13. Selected participants will receive a bag full of books and will be announced here.
