The Back of the Yards Branch, at 2111 W. 47th St. (47th Street and Hoyne Avenue), opened August 26. The branch is a full-service public library with books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and magazines for children, teens and adults in English and Spanish.
We have computers and two big, bright meeting rooms for public use. Weekly children's and family-oriented programs include Lil Lions Story Hour at 11 a.m. Wednesdays and rotating open game nights. Check the events calendar for other upcoming programs.
The library location has been described as a bit of a mystery, but it's a mystery worth solving. Here are a few clues: parking is available behind the building, off Hoyne. From the parking lot, walk up the ramp to door number three.

- Tuesday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
