As summer winds down, Back of the Yards Branch is gearing up to attend community events outside the library. Stop by one of the following, say hi, learn about library resources and meet library staff!
- Tuesday, August 23, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: Story time at Bubbleland on Western and 51st. Wash time is also reading time. Join Mr. Lucas for good, clean fun at this off-site story time with stories, activities, rhymes, movement and singing!
- Friday, August 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Back to School Health & Fun Fair at Davis Square Park. Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council hosts a free morning of jumping jacks, face painting, fitness classes, entertainment, food, raffles and giveaways, as well as back-to-school exams and immunizations.
- Saturday, September 10, 3 p.m.-5 p.m.: Community BBQ at Plant Chicago. Plant Chicago celebrates the end of summer with a community BBQ. There will be plenty of free food, music, kids activities, tours of The Plant in both English and Spanish, as well as bilingual yoga in the garden.
