This May we're celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Join us at the Budlong Woods Branch at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 for a festival of music, dance and martial arts from the cultures of China, India, Japan, Korea and Thailand. All ages welcome! This program is made possible by generous donations from the Keumsil Cultural Society and the Sulzer Family Foundation, with support from the Chicago Public Library Foundation.
We are also inviting children ages 6 and older to sign up to make a framed origami flower garden with Naomi Negi at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 13. As space is limited, please register for this program by calling the Budlong Woods Branch at (312) 742-9590.
