Visit historic Chicago in this series of reworked scenes from photographs from the 1920s to the 1970s. Completed in a unique cartoonish style, these paintings by Aaron Wooten bring together nostalgia with the nitty-gritty urban lifestyle of Chicago's past. Wooten has been featured in the Chicago Reader, the Red Eye and the New York Times.
Chicago Vintage: Paintings of Historic Chicago is on display through December 26 in the north exhibit cases on the 8th floor of the Harold Washington Library Center.
