Calling all new-to-school kids: Get your library card today!
In partnership with CPS-Department of Literacy-Libraries, CPL is launching a library card campaign to encourage new kindergarteners to get their library card—an important part of every child’s school tools.
Teachers of all grade levels, contact your local children's librarian to request applications for your students and to receive details on the registration process.
Applications are accepted from October 17 through January 9.
Parents and caregivers, we welcome children of any age to apply for a library card. For children who are not yet in school, please visit any CPL location to get a library card.
