The do-it-yourself (DIY) craze has hit the Clearing Branch. This year, we held a series of programs designed to bring people together to learn and teach crafting techniques as well as other useful DIY skills.
Participants learned the basics of sewing, origami and quilting as well as many other related skills. Librarian and program creator Beatrice hopes to build a group of regulars who can share other interesting skills and bring in guest speakers to share their knowledge.
We held programs in August and November that were popular with attendees. We've got more in the works, so stay tuned for DIY programs in the spring.
