Blackstone Branch is hosting a display of early technology from the private collection of Stan Howell, a librarian in Business, Science and Technology at the Harold Washington Library Center.
The display of time-telling devices, navigational devices and scale-model early war weapons runs through the end of November. Among the various devices is an item which is more sight gag than practical tool—take a look to see if you can identify the visual joke among the array of devices from centuries past.
