Board, video and role-playing games brought together a community of all ages at International Games Day at Harold Washington Library Center on November 15. Librarians from the Literature and Language Department brought word games from the English-Language Learning (ELL) Room to bring together those learning English and native speakers.
Games complement traditional language-learning materials by creating a fun way to interact with diverse peers, share knowledge or simply learn and have fun.
Word games are available in the ELL Room on the 7th floor, Literature and Language Department. The ELL Room also will host the first bilingual maker (Spanish/English) craft class from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 10.
