Journey to Empowerment: 110 Years of the Chicago Defender runs through June 28 in the Special Collections Exhibit Hall on the 9th floor of Harold Washington Library Center.
The exhibit shares images and memorabilia from the newspaper's first 110 years. It is a glimpse into the history of news making in America and the impact of journalism on the African American community.
