Chicago Public Library is hosting a fine amnesty to welcome patrons and materials back to the library. From now through February 18, bring in your overdue materials and whether they're five days or five years late, we’ll waive your fines. If you’ve lost an item, just take care of the replacement costs and we’ll waive the overdue fines.
This “Welcome Home” amnesty launches our Home of the Curious campaign created by our pro bono partner, advertising agency FCB Chicago, and sponsored by Chicago Public Library Foundation.
All of us who walk through the doors of Chicago Public Library have one thing in common—curiosity. And we want to make sure you know all the incredible ways CPL can nurture your curiosity, whether it be through a new book, 3D printing, digital skills training, or our wide range of programming for kids, teens and adults.
So, to all of our patrons and materials that we’ve lost to overdue fines, welcome home.
