The Edgewater Branch is proud to host From Our Neighborhood: Four Chicago Writers Who Changed America. This traveling exhibit highlights the writing of Lorraine Hansberry, Studs Terkel, Gwendolyn Brooks and Richard Wright. All of these writers made a national impact and created social change through their work.
The display allows viewers to both read and listen to the words of the authors. Sponsored by the American Writers Museum and its partner the Chicago History Museum, it was made possible by the generous support of the Chicago Community Trust and the S&C Electric Company Foundation.
"From Our Neighborhood" will be available at Edgewater Branch through June 19.
