Chicago Public Library offers resources to help you file your income taxes.
Federal
This year, there's the single 1040 form again (no 1040A or 1040EZ), and a new version of the 1040 form for seniors (anyone born before January 2, 1955), the 1040-SR form. We expect these forms, and Schedules 1-3, to be available at many CPL locations, but the IRS no longer distributes the Publications, other Schedules or Miscellaneous Forms.
Online versions of most forms and publications are available at IRS.gov. If you need to order print copies, go to Order Forms & Publications or call the tax product hotline at (800) 829-3676.

State
Like the IRS, the Illinois Department of Revenue has state tax forms to download and print.
Unlike the IRS, the State offers its own account management program, My Tax Illinois, where taxpayers can file returns, make payments and manage their tax accounts.
