Jean Yves Hector. The 20-year-old artist, who hails from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, has been visiting the United States since August at the invitation of the Haitian American Museum of Chicago. The 12 paintings, all acrylic on canvas, are on display until March 7 in the adult reading room at Blackstone Branch.

Hector's work is also on exhibit at the Haitian American Museum of Chicago until Sunday, January 24.
