The Maker Lab is 2 years old!
In that time:
- We've had over 100,000 visits.
- We've hosted over 900 workshops with nearly 9,000 attendees.
- We've soldered on the North Side and on the South Side.
- Combined, our three MakerBot Replicator 2s have printed for more than 3,000 hours.
- Our Mini Maker Lab has visited five of 80 CPL locations…and it has more visits to make before 2015 is over.
Thank you for being a part of the Maker Lab!
Coming Up
On Friday, July 17, we'll make an evening visit to the South Side Hackerspace's new home, which they share with Make! Chicago at 1048 W. 37th Street. (You can visit their Facebook page to say you're coming.)
Check out our Illustration Drawing Workshop with artist Diana Solis from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 20. Create your own illustration to keep, or give as a gift.
Stop by from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25 for our next Family Drop-In. We'll be making 3D-printed initial pendants, one per child. They print in under 10 minutes so you'll have plenty of time to make it to the Pre-Teen Book Club at 3 p.m. in the Thomas Hughes Children's Library!
