American Library Association's National Library Week celebrates the powerful and positive impact libraries have on lives every day! This week, a couple of Chicago Public Library’s Teen Advisory Council members share their thoughts about how YOUmedia has affected them:
“When I first saw the YOUmedia center, I was very amazed. It showed me that the library system is willing to accommodate its space for any guest that arrives and i made me happy that libraries can do more than just books.” – Maxwell B.
“The library is something very special to me as it holds many memories and is one of the sources of my happiness. When I found out about YOUmedia, I found a stronger source of happiness. YOUmedia is a place where I feel at ease, and spend time reading new books and using the laptops to use Photoshop or make memes. YOUmedia is a place where all teenagers who want to meet and learn new, exciting things and is a place in which I respect and glad that is available to all teens in Chicago.” – Jacqueline C.
