All of us who walk through the doors of Chicago Public Library have one thing in common—curiosity. Each visit brings a new opportunity for discovery.
Our Home of the Curious campaign features real Chicagoans and the unique ways they each use Library services and programs to ignite their curiosity—and we're hoping it inspires you to explore new ways to use your library.

Events and Programs
Beyond our collection, we've got plenty of ways to find just the thing to pique your curiosity and expand your tech talents. Part of the maker movement or interested in digital technology? Visit our Maker Lab to create with digital design software, vinyl cutters, 3D printers and laser cutters. If you want to better your computer skills, visit any one of our 80 locations to work with a CyberNavigator.
Have some kids or students you'd like to expose to programming and design? Most of our children's activities incorporate STEM-learning, like our Science Connections events. And be sure to participate in our Rahm's Readers Summer Learning Challenge beginning in June! Learn basic coding by checking out our Finch Robots, free with your library card at any CPL location.
If your tech is a teen, we've got YOUmedia teen learning labs at 12 locations citywide. They can begin tinkering with electronics and digital design tools, and connect with mentors and peers to empower their interests.
We have so many ways for you to engage with your community, learn something new and discover something wonderful. To the curious, Welcome Home.
