Chicago Architecture Foundation, one of CPL's partners for Imagine Doing More!, the 2018 Teen Summer Challenge, is passionate about inspiring teens like you to take action in urban planning.
This summer, you can work on improving your neighborhood (built or man-made) environment with Chicago Architecture Foundation by:
- attending Design Your Neighborhood workshops to explore youth agency, neighborhood change, civic identity, Chicago history and community engagement.
- taking on Chicago Architecture Foundation's challenge to improve your neighborhood environment: Design Your Neighborhood!
Pick up an Imagine Doing More! booklet at your local library and/or visit DiscoverDesign.org to see more details about how to take action by improving your Chicago built environment. Also, don't forget to use #ImagineAtCPL, #CPLTeens and #NoSmallPlans to share your ideas, photos, videos, etc.
Be sure to check out Chicago Architecture Foundation's new graphic novel, No Small Plans, which follows the adventures of teens in Chicago's past (1928), present (2017) and future (2211) as they wrestle with what it will take to design the city they want, need and deserve.
