The Clearing Branch was host to an environmentally friendly Keep Chicago Beautiful program on Monday September 8th. Joan Goliak, a representative from the Keep Chicago Beautiful organization showed interested kids and parent how to make recycled paper using common household items and some ripped up out of date library brochures.
Founded in 1987, Keep Chicago Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, is a nonprofit organization that works with Chicagoland’s business community, schools, neighborhoods and government agencies to improve our environment through education, public awareness and community involvement.
