The Writers Group will host a workshop led by celebrated writer Jonathan Eig at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 13. The first part of the class will offer writing pointers and exercises; the second will be free writing.
Bestselling author Eig (Luckiest Man, Get Capone and Opening Day) presents a workshop designed to help writers make their characters stronger and more realistic. Whether you’re writing fiction or nonfiction, a short story or a memoir, you won’t get far if you can't make your character come to life. With writing exercises and handouts, we'll work on creating strong characters and putting them to work for your own purposes.
The group leads a writing lab, when not hosting an author event (usually every other month), on the second Thursday evening of the month.
Remember to bring your favorite writing instrument and some paper. We will see all you aspiring writers soon!
