Here at the Little Village Branch, we’ve just closed out a month of holiday scares and fun-filled family events! All month long, our Halloween and Dia de los Muertos displays have educated students and parents about these cherished holidays. Designed by library staff and a group of especially creative volunteers, these displays combined amazing information with authentic holiday decorations.
Our holiday programs were a great success! Kids and parents learned face-painting, showed off their amazing costumes, told jokes and crafted “monster shakers” to scare away those things that go bump in the night. Led by our pirate-librarians in residence, our parade of ghouls read, sang and danced their way through a safe and fun Halloween.
Join us in November for our harvest holiday celebration. All month long, we'll offer harvest-themed crafts, story times and displays for all ages.
