Tweens: Are you interested in 3D printing? Looking to design something fun and unique? How about designing your own miniature party object as part of our 150th birthday celebration?
Using free, 3D modeling programs such as Tinkercad, you can create, design and print a sculpture. Share and submit your design to be printed at select locations or sign up for a 3D printing program at which you can print your design on-site!
How to Get Started:
- Create an account on Tinkercad with the help of a parent or caregiver if you're under 13.
- Watch Tinkercad's tutorial videos to learn how to create a sculpture.
- Want to put your sculpture on a pedestal? Upload this design to Tinkercad to use this display base template.
- For further assistance, sign up for one of our 3D printing workshops.
- Fill out the form below to submit your design. Your 3D design can be printed at participating branches listed on the form, after which a parent will be contacted to pick it up. (You can also ask your local branch librarian about whether they have a 3D printer you can use to print your file yourself.)
