Film Screening: Victoria and Abdul, 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 10 at Vodak-East Side Branch. This award-winning 2017 film based on the book Victoria & Abdul tells the story of Queen Victoria's close friendship with her Indian advisor, Abdul. They forge an unlikely and devoted alliance with a loyalty to one another that affects both her family and inner circle of friends.
Discovering Austen, performed by Kristin Hammargren, takes place in the dressing room of an actor who's been cast as Jane Austen. See Austen's literary characters and the author herself come to life. Two performances:
