Everyone should be excited about the upcoming multimedia poetry performances happening during Poetry Fest on April 25, and here's why:
- Spoken word poet, playwright and filmmaker, Kelly Tsai, will be back in Chicago, to perform "Visibility" at 12:30 p.m., about a girl lost in a world of fog.
- Self-described Urban Renaissance Artist, Osiris Khepera, will be on stage performing "Refrain," featuring songs of the past, present and future.
After these two award-winning artists perform, they'll discuss their pieces as well as their inspiration, education, arts and culture and career choices. This is an event not to be missed, and we hope to see you there!
If you aren't able to make this special program for teens and adults in honor of poetry month, don't forget that there are plenty of teen novels in verse and collections of poems to explore for more inspiration.
