The Near North Unity Program (NNUP) formed in 2010 to promote and strengthen community cohesion. The focus is to build on the strengths of local sub-communities through planning, organizing and human development.
NNUP maintains coNNect, a website that includes a communty calendar, resource directory and community news. You can register on the site to become an author, which means you can add news, event details and other communty information.
The organization recently completed a community needs assessment, which will be used to help formulate its priorities, planning and projects, and assist in fund solicitation.
Monthly meetings are usually held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the last Monday of the month at 111 N. Wells St.
