Edgewater Branch recently welcomed its first art piece! A William Conger work entitled "Mundi" now hangs in the Reading Room on the 2nd floor.
The circular piece has a 59" diameter and is oil on canvas. The painting marks the beginning of the final phase of the Percent for Art Program at Edgewater Branch, which began two years ago. This citywide program puts aside a small percentage of public building costs to buy artwork.
There will be more beautiful and interesting pieces added to our building, so watch this space!
