The new writers group at the Lincoln Belmont Branch offers a place and a time to write and exchange new ideas on writing and the arts. Come to our first meeting of the year at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, January 16.
January’s meeting will be a “writers lab evening,” so please bring your favorite writing instrument and writing paper, and any stories, memoirs, poems or essays you are working on or want to share. Don’t forget to pass the word to your writing friends!
2014 Plans
Please feel free to speak up at this meeting about the meeting dates and plans for your writing and arts group. Some months will be just for writing: “a self-service writers lab”—a place for all of you to have quiet time and space to write, and share ideas and thoughts on writing with each other.
Other months we'll have guest speakers: writers, artists and/or teachers on writing or literary/arts events. We'll announce the guest lineup soon.
Beginning in February, we will meet at 6:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month.
Our writers group started last fall with a very successful writers workshop series with Nicole Hollander, and many of our group members are very excited about the plans for 2014.
